OurChallenge

A socioeconomically vulnerable environment, dysfunctional relationships with family members or other adults in children and adolescents, or a cancer diagnosis in adults are situations that have a strong emotional impact. Our challenge is that children, adolescents, young people and adults diagnosed with cancer are able to manage their emotions, grow in their integral and socioemotional development and become more resilient to the adversities of the present and the future.

In the same way that the most profound changes in people’s lives require time, we are aware that establishing innovative and differentiating intervention models in the conventional network of social, health and educational care requires a rigorous evaluation of their impact and sustainability, beyond the time and knowledge generated.

"THE MOST PROFOUND CHANGES IN PEOPLE'S LIVES REQUIRE TIME AND ACCOMPANIMENT'

WHAT IS EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING?

Emotional well-being is a broad concept related to the subjective experience of feeling well, in harmony and at peace.

According to the WHO, emotional or mental health is “a state of well-being in which an individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.”

How wedo it

We analyze how the emotional and well-being needs of children and young people, as well as adults with cancer, are being taken care of.

We are looking for innovative, evidence-based ideas and initiatives at national and international level.

We define projects in cooperation with our partners, entities and social, educational and health organizations.

We participate in the execution and implementation of projects to make them a reality.

We evaluate projects to improve the quality of care through a continuous improvement approach.

We strengthen projects toassure their impactand sustainability.
