PERSONAL AND SOCIO-EMOTIONAL GROWTH WITH AWARENESS FROM EXPERIENCE

KOA is a programme of prevention and promotion of emotional well-being/mental health for teenagers at risk of emotional and/or psychological suffering.

KOA Experience offers experiential activities connected to the interests of teenagers (theatre, music, adventure, sports, new technologies) through which work is done to cultivate their emotional, personal and relational growth. The KOA process empowers adolescents to be more resilient to the adversities they face now and in their future.

KOA Learnings accompanies teams of KOA professionals in ongoing training, supervision, and teamwork.

As a differentiating feature, KOA offers social entities a model for the promotion of emotional well-being based on scientific evidence and following the recommendations of international reference organisations such as the World Health Organization -WHO-, American Psychologist Association -APA- and UNESCO among others.

WE ALSO COLLABORATE WITH WEKO

Biannual programme of promotion and prevention for the good use of technologies in 5 educational communities in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona. It is carried out with pupils in the upper primary school cycle -pre-teens aged 10 to 12-, their teachers and families, which we develop together with the Aprender a Mirar Foundation.

It is a challenge for our society to promote a safe use of Internet, mobile phones and video games and specifically to protect our teenagers. Weko involves them in this mission, makes them protagonists of their own learning and places them as agents of awareness.

The technological phenomenon involves many agents (teenagers, family, educational and health centres, public administration, technological companies, etc.) and, therefore, Weko accompanies the adults who are part of the educational community, such as their teachers and families, so that they have strategies and resources to deal with the use of technologies from the opportunity.
