Our challenge
We understand academic and professional guidance as a continuous and integral process that is fundamental for the personal and future development of young people.
UNKOVER is a program designed to improve the academic and professional orientation of young people between the ages of 12 and 24, with the objective of reducing early school leaving and educational disengagement.
The initiative is implemented in secondary schools and social entities, and offers a comprehensive and systemic approach that involves all key actors to ensure a cross-cutting and quality orientation.
Why does Unkover exist?
Early school leaving in Spain continues to be one of the most significant challenges facing the education system, largely due to fragmented and late academic and professional guidance. The overburdening of guidance counselors and an ad hoc orientation concentrated only in the moments of educational transition prevents young people from finding meaning in their learning and linking their interests with their future.
Knowing themselves, discovering their interests and skills, and relating them to their learning process and the environment around them are key competencies in an ever-changing world. These skills not only allow them to make conscious decisions, but also reinforce their confidence in their ability to face challenges, adapt to new situations and build their own path.

What does Unkover offer?
1. Accompaniment and guidance for young people
We promote vocational discovery through our own methodology, focusing on the activation of talent and a subsequent successful training and/or employment itinerary.
2. Training and support to teaching teams
We support high school teaching teams seeking sustainable change around guidance and create synergies with other local services.

3. Techno-pedagogical solutions
We generate knowledge and offer digital tools with a wide degree of scalability and reach.
Our methodology
The program's methodology is based on these three elements:
1
Dialogic and continuous process
We start from the premise that orientation and self-knowledge are not specific actions in moments of transition, but rather dialogic processes based on constant interactions and conversations throughout the entire educational stage.
2
Autonomy and self-efficacy
Encouraging these interactions and conversations is key to ensuring that young people play an active role in discovering their interests, developing their skills and exploring their options.
3
Transversality
To be effective, vocational development needs to be implemented in a cross-cutting manner, connecting educational centers with municipal services, third sector entities and the local business fabric.
