 PROJECT WITH SIMPLON AFRICA

The 3-year FORM’EMPLOI project is a training project for jobs in the digital field (digital referencing and web/mobile development) for young people from the Pikine department. This training project focused on employability and sustainable empowerment will be deployed through 3 consecutive sessions of 7 months each for 3 years at a rate of 30 beneficiaries per cohort per year. The sessions will start in January 2023 and will be conducted on a face-to-face basis with an alternation system after 4 months of learning. They will be complemented by a system of support for job placement at the end of the course.

In addition to know-how, the training includes the reinforcement of transversal skills (soft skills) necessary for a sustainable integration into the job market. This support for the development of soft skills and interpersonal skills will enable young people to better understand the challenges they will face in their future working life, where adaptability, team spirit, communication skills… are basic requirements to evolve.

With an inclusive approach, Simplon also seeks to involve local actors in the implementation of the project, in particular Anpej, the municipalities of Pikine Est, Nord, Thiaroye Djiddah Kaw, the Pôle Emploi de Pikine and partners who are beneficiaries of FNC subsidies.
