The most profound changes in people's lives require time and support.

Our challenge

A socioeconomically vulnerable environment, dysfunctional relationships with family members or other adults during childhood and adolescence, or a cancer diagnosis in adulthood are situations that have a strong emotional impact. Our challenge is to ensure that children, adolescents, young people and adults diagnosed with cancer are able to manage their emotions, grow in their overall and socio-emotional development, and become more resilient to present and future adversities.

What is Emotional Wellbeing?

Emotional well-being is the subjective experience of feeling good, in harmony, and at ease.

It is the result of a balance between thoughts, feelings and actions, and consistency between personal needs and realities and those of the system of people with whom we live.

According to the WHO, emotional wellbeing is a ‘state of mind in which an individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to the community’.
